(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Tuesday marked the Resistance Liberation Day by "congratulating the Lebanese people and Resistance on the liberation of southern Lebanon and inflicting defeat on the "Israeli" enemy."

"Israel" continues to "reject the implementation of international resolutions and continues committing its massacres, the most recent of which was the Maroun al-Ras massacre," he said in a statement.

referring to when over 10 people were killed and more than 100 wounded when "Israeli" troops fired at majority-Palestinian protests commemorating the 1948 "Nakba" on May 15.
Lebanon has proved that it possesses the "national capabilities that allowed it to liberate [its land] and repeal aggression," he said.

"Lebanon can unite these capabilities to fortify its impregnability, resist the enemy's plots, and build a modern state of citizenship and justice that is suitable for the Lebanese," he concluded.
